Hours*: 8am to 4pm, Monday through Friday.
*Found property may be dropped off any time at the Department of Public Safety.
Items are often held for a significant period of time by university departments or office staff before being turned over to Public Safety.
Found items not claimed by the owner or finder are eventually sold via public auction.
In order to retrieve items after regular business hours, special arrangements must be made.
Low value items are discarded if we can't immediately identify the owner.
Clothing items are typically not accepted. When accepted, such items are usually donated.
If the finder wishes to retrieve unclaimed items, it is the finder's responsible to provide contact information and to keep that information up-to-date.
